Just how safe is your email really?

  • Are you protected from malicious attachments and links in emails?
  • Do you know how to spot phishing emails? Are you kept up to date with latest phishing methods?
  • Is your brand safe from email spoofing and impersonation, protecting the integrity of your online presence?
  • Can you share sensitive information with people away from prying eyes?

Do you know the answer to any of the above? If not, we need to talk about security.

Let’s face it, it’s a jungle out there.

Bad people out there are trying to gain access to data all the time for a variety of reasons, corporate espionage, identity theft and financial theft.

You need to make sure that you are as protected as possible from all those phishing emails. You are one click away from giving away your username and password and if one email sneaks through the defences, would you know how to spot it?

What about emails from your own organisation or internal emails – are you protected from other people on the internet spoofing your email domain?

We should all know by now that sharing sensitive information via email should be avoided. There are ways of doing this if you absolutely have to. Sadly, email wasn’t designed with security in mind.

There are solutions available to mitigate these issues. We can never be 100% safe (just look at security breaches reported by very large companies with sophisticated IT), but you will definitely be targeted. We all will and that’s the sad truth.
